Although Brazil now exceeds the US on daily fatalities and confirmed cases, it stands at ~ 1/4 the US total for both.
The other 3 big ascending countries of BRIM-US represent even a smaller fraction to date (log-scale, cumulative)
Other countries on the watch list (log-fatality curves)
Peru, Chile, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Philippines
Ecuador, Argentina, Colombia
These are the latest @FT graphs for excess mortality
The US has an excess mortality of ~70,000 which would increase its current death toll to well over 170, 000
Peru leads in % relative to prior dates; Spain leads in excess per capita
