🧵 Last week Minister @AdrianaLaGrange scolded the CBE, citing among other things their inability to put students first.

One would expect a leader in her position to lead by example: so let’s take a look back at some of her initiatives over the past year or so.

7. Significant cuts to inter ministerial RCSD prgm (Regional Collaborative Service Delivery model)-where different agencies worked together to provide services (speech pathology. OT, physical therapy, etc) to children-Can’t find ANY media coverage of these cuts!

The #ABEd Ministry released a Choice In Education survey yesterday.
Our position on this survey:
-The survey is poorly designed and ineffective for collecting data as multiple responses can originate from the same IP address or multiple hard copies.
2/
 Because of this it is clear the survey is strictly for optics & the illusion of engagement.
*Choice* to this government refers to more charter and private schools and continued underfunding of public education.
The Choice In Education Act is likely already written. #abed
3/
 No one will be moving the needle by replying to a poorly executed survey.
**HOWEVER**
This affords us (Public Education supporters) a unique opportunity to email, en masse, a protest submission, speaking with ONE voice in support of public education.
