An ER colleague found a previously healthy man in his 40s with #COVID19 dead in a chair.

Just because it primarily kills ‘older more vulnerable Americans’, it doesn’t mean it can’t take you down regardless of your age...

I’m unsettled because I keep seeing this push to make it only about protecting older, sicker Americans.

Yes, they are dying in disproportionate numbers.

But maybe they’re being infected by younger, asymptomatic or mildly-symptomatic contacts.

Like those in the pool...

I appreciate the public health PSA @seanhannity, I really do! 🙏🙏🙏

But we must recognize that it’s NOT just about our mom, dad, grandma or grandpa. It is about ALL of us!

Until we recognize and respect this, the virus will continue to spread. And more will die...

Yesterday was Memorial Day, a time to honor those who served and those who died to protect us.

But it was hard to ignore the 100,000 Americans who have already passed from COVID19 in just the last few months.

That’s more than the Korean and Vietnam wars combined...

In the next few weeks, we will have lost more Americans from #COVID19 than we lost in the whole of World War 1, including those from the 1918 flu pandemic.

The #COVID19 death toll is immense and heartbreaking. And it’s growing. Every day...

Even if this virus is disproportionately taking the lives of SOME of us - most especially the elderly, people of color, and indigenous communities - it will only be contained by the actions of ALL of us...

So yes, please wear a mask. Practice social distancing. Be smart. Be safe.

Because it’s about all of us. The vulnerable. The marginalized. The elderly. The more susceptible.

And it’s also about you.
