2/ There's something similar going on with the disproportionate attention paid to gender-critical feminists and so-called TERFs relative to conservative lawmakers, the latter of whom are responsible for 99% of the codified oppression trans people face
3/ I think this is part misogyny, part narcissism of small differences. It feels more fun and righteous and in some cases 'productive' to attack people who have some similarities to you than those who are coming from a totally different place. But it isn't a great dynamic.
