4. The SSC to be more attractive again came up when the present Govt took over were in May 2014. When Late Sh. Manohar Parrikar became Defence Minister he again flagged the issue of making SSC more attractive.

5.) He himself worked out the proposal which included lum-sum grant of two months’ pay per year for 10 years and 4 months pay per year for 4 year from 11 years to 14th years and ensuring re-settlement in central serving, public and Private sectors.
6.) He discussed the proposal with Indian Ex-Servicemen Movement (IESM) during a meeting. IESM had suggested Assured Second Career for all SSC Officers who were not given permanent commission. Proposal was forwarded to Finance Ministry where it seems still lie buried till date.
7.) It was not implemented for past 5 years. CDS has now on 21st may 2020, announced the intention of the govt to make SSC more attractive. We hope the govt is serious this time. The decision must be implemented in shortest possible time say within 6 months.

8.) stated implementing their offensive designs across your borders, we should ensure all measures are in place to carry out offensive defence operation and not allowed Chinese their way. An additional corps which was planned to be raised must come up earliest.
