The framing is problematic because it equates the effect and the cause. If you're as angry about the effect as you are about the cause then you're part of the problem.
George Orwell once said, "Either we all live in a decent world, or nobody does". Riots are a practical manifestation of that. We either live in a world in which every life is sacred or we live in a world where nobody is safe.
There are laws hardwired into human nature; when humans are dehumanized beyond a breaking point they rage and riot like nothing matters. You can't break these laws. You can only break your societies against these laws.
If you're more mad about the consequences than the cause then you don't get it. If you're even equally mad about the consequences and the cause then you don't get it.
"A riot is the language of the unheard"; it doesn't say "I want me a new TV". It says: "If I can't live in dignity, let it all burn to the ground". George Floyd's death was more than a case of police brutality, it was metaphor for how much dignity Black people are afforded.
