ActBlue processed $19 million on Sunday. A spokesperson said half went to charities.

Compare to 4/30, when site processed $9.5 million — huge bump. nytimes.com/2020/06/01/us/…
The sums of money being given are pretty staggering.

The popular Minnesota Freedom Fund — you've probably seen people posting the receipts — had raised $20 million by Saturday. In its 2018 tax return, total donations had been $110k.

Another GoFundMe in Los Angeles jumped from $1,600 raised on Saturday to $860,000.

“Watching the numbers climb was surreal,” says organizer.

The group wasn't exclusively focused on bail funds but went viral anyway. nytimes.com/2020/06/01/us/…
Just a sample of $$$ in a matter of days:

ActBlue: $40 million
MN Freedom Fund: $20m
George Floyd family memorial GoFundMe: $7m
Lake Street Council: $2.25m
Chicago Community Bond Fund: $1.6m
LA People's City Council Fund: $900k

By the way, the donation rush on ActBlue has continued into today, when the 1st of a month is one of the sloower days.

$8.5 million so far.

(May 1 was $4.3 million and April 1 was $3.5 million in 24 hours, for comparison purposes)
