2' gauge
TGR operated 18 mile 2' gauge line from Zeehan to Deep Lead (now Williamsford) known as the North East Dundas tramway. Line opened 1896 to carry ore from the Williamsford mines to Zeehan for rail transport to Burnie.

2' gauge was used because of the difficult terrain. Passenger transport was also provided.

The first G1 destroyed after the boiler exploded replaced by the 3rd loco which assumed G1 identity.

G1 and G2 were sold to Isis Sugar Mill (Cordalba Qld) when the line closed in 1932. They were converted by Isis Sugar to tender engines renumbered #9 (G1) & #10 (G2)

J1 was in storage at Zeehan for a while after withdrawn, but it unfortunately ended up scrapped.

1947 K1 was sold to its builder Beyer, Peacock & Co, with the boiler and boiler cradle of K2 attached and repatriated back to England

In 1995 K1 was acquired by the Welsh Highland Railway and restored to operation.
