@GovAndyBeshear Beshear says he's listening to concerns about military presence. The state will reduce the National Guard presence in Louisville, on recommendation of the Adjutant General.
Beshear says he supports the release of any footage that will shed light on David McAtee's death. Says there should have been body camera footage. There's not. Michael Brown will be overseeing the ongoing investigation into McAtee's death.
J. Michael Brown says autopsy results show McAtee died of a single bullet wound to the chest. They're still investigating which type of bullet he was struck by.
Brown says there were 13 other people with McAtee at the time. Law enforcement recovered seven weapons from the residence where McAtee was. They're undergoing testing to see which was discharged. They've obtained search warrants, and those yielded video from security cameras.
Brown says they're going through a very laborious process of matching up videos along with any audio from police radios to get a true chronology of what occurred.
Brown says all of the weapons were inventoried. They believe 18 shots were fired between the National Guard and LMPD that evening McAtee was shot.
Now, back to Beshear for tonight's COVID-19 update. He says there's a decrease in new cases to announce today.
He says there's not enough data to suggest there's a new bump yet. Today Beshear says there are 155 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the state's total to 10,185.
Beshear also says that 3 more Kentuckians have died from coronavirus, bringing the state's death total to 442.
"It's certainly a time in America where our inequalities have been laid bare," Beshear says. "It's going to be our job to make sure that is not the case going forward."
Q: Do you think there were any mistakes made by the National Guard? A: "We need to see the evidence," Beshear says. They're our neighbors, our friends. He says he has a high degree of confidence in the Guard.
Gov. Beshear says President Trump's comments about bringing in the military are "not appropriate and not helpful." He says Kentucky doesn't need the federal government coming in with the military.

We're standing by for @kyoag Daniel Cameron's news conference regarding today's grand jury findings. Watch this thread for more. The briefing is also streaming live on Cameron's facebook page: facebook.com/kyoag/videos/6…
Cameron says he just spoke with Tamika Palmer, #BreonnaTaylor's mother, to share the grand jury's findings with her.
Cameron says his job wasn't to decide if the loss of #BreonnaTaylor's life was a tragedy. He says the answer to that question is unequivocally yes. He says human life deserves protection. He says his job was to put emotions aside and look at the facts.
We're in the zoom meeting with Judge Annie O'Connell, waiting for the Grand Jury's findings. O'Connell says if there are any indictments, the case will be assigned to a courtroom immediately.
