Watch for Pride art downtown; including newly repainted crosswalks at Broadway/Pearl, a giant flag going on the street at 10th/Pearl and other surprise art.

So far: Muni, Bedrooms Are For People

Patrick Murphy from End the Muni reporting that he will not have required signatures by Friday deadline. Got 71% of the way there despite 34-day timeout on in-person signature collection.

(It wasn't mandated; he just waited bc, you know, pandemic)

That would be ~2,300 signatures. Makes sense, given that on Friday he was at nearly 2,000

Rebecca Davies also talking about in-person petitioning during a pandemic. "We are asking you as a city council to recognize the extraordinary work that has gone into all three campaigns to collect over 6,000 signatures" and put them on the ballot.

I think they have way more than that.
NEWR reported 4,200 on Saturday at noon
End the Muni at ~2,300
Bedrooms Are For People said today they had 2,400

All self-reported, so...

But we will know next week what the official number for End the Muni and NEWR, since those are due this Friday. Bedrooms has until Aug. 5

That's the end of open comment. We're gonna have some discussion of the adjustment to base for 2020 budget.
