So @NYCMayor still won't call for the National Guard to help?

Get ready for another disastrous night of violence and looting. Then we can act like it was a complete surprise tomorrow.
Already started:

BDB and Cuomo have completely destroyed that city with their consistent incompetence. People should have taken note when they did nothing re daily attacks against Jews, then COVID-19 disaster, & now this.
This could have been avoided with even semi-competent leadership. But I'm sure Cuomo can go on his brother's show tomorrow and they can joke about his ears to make up for it.

The NYT published editorials from dictators, terror-sympathizers, bigots, and Paul Krugman.

An editorial from a U.S. Senator with an opinion you don't agree with isn't going to kill anyone, and it's telling that so many of their writers are pretending it will.

Note not one of these led to this type of coordinated outrage.
The outrage is especially weird given, as @Neoavatara points out, a majority of Americans support having the military assist in dealing with the rioting and looting in major cities.

I spend a lot of time critiquing media, but this is one of the worst pieces of journalism I have ever seen. It's a pure propaganda piece on behalf of a group currently terrorizing major cities, with a known supporter of Antifa and political violence as the primary cited source.
Here is a piece on Mark Bray, the Antifa apologist who @byamberphillips cites as her primary source for an article about them. The article completely ignores their anarchist goals & violent actions while assigning pure motives.

Just the fact that he is donating part of the proceeds from his pro-Antifa book to the group should have led to any reasonable reporter disqualifying him from being their primary source for such an article, but I guess Washington Post doesn't have those standards.

Honestly, this is such an ignorant and indefensible line.

People were told they have to sacrifice their jobs, feeding their families, seeing loved ones on their death bed etc. bc public health came first, but suddenly you can pick and choose based on the cause?
And btw protests themselves won't accomplish anything so you're pretending there was no other way to try to address this issue, which just isn't true.

This is just an excuse to justify actions you otherwise claimed were indefensible and dangerous.
Also, as others have pointed out, the whole point was that it's not just your own health you are risking. In this case, the communities being put in danger were already facing greatest risk from COVID-19.
