Honestly, this is such an ignorant and indefensible line.
People were told they have to sacrifice their jobs, feeding their families, seeing loved ones on their death bed etc. bc public health came first, but suddenly you can pick and choose based on the cause?

And btw protests themselves won't accomplish anything so you're pretending there was no other way to try to address this issue, which just isn't true.

Also, as others have pointed out, the whole point was that it's not just your own health you are risking. In this case, the communities being put in danger were already facing greatest risk from COVID-19.
