I watched the #LDNBLM demo go past my street and applauded... I can tell you after 20+ years of reporting and participating in protests, this was one of the youngest and most representative of working class demos I've seen, on a par with Nov/Dec 2010 .. they had mass support ... 
...it was the opposite of "political activists" but the scale of political literacy and engagement was clearly high.
... and remember - almost everyone in that picture is producing surplus value for capital: the baristas, the admin workers, the students servicing debt, the renters... and has seen their future cancelled by Covid-19 and 10 years of austerity...
