A core problem is the TAM of all people who actually pay for writing in a year is shockingly small. Take nonfiction adult books as just one example. Consumers might like a bundle. We aren't the mass market. Our reading levels aren't normal. Stratechery and substack aren't mass market
@shishirmehrotra @fed_speak @patrick_oshag @benthompson I'll conclude that a mass market bundle of writing is great for the incomes of writers when I see existence proofs.

We may like a bundle as a consumer. But will writers like it since they earn an attractive income? Without a better deal than they get from Substack, it's dead.
