First of all, do we ever find out who runs Hydra? It’s a shadowy network of double agents embedded within SHIELD and other security services. It’s the very definition of a mythical Deep State! That doesn’t fit Trump’s team AT ALL (2/7)
Contrast that with Cobra, a bunch of bickering, hothead loudmouths led by the biggest loudmouth of them all, @CobraCommander.

Hydra at least claims to have a higher aspiration of bringing order to a chaotic world. Cobra doesn’t care about that, they just want to dominate everything, even the weather. (4/7)
Another Cobra trait is that when they encounter any serious obstacle, they inevitably retreat. This fits Trump perfectly. He lacks the patience to play the long game like Hydra. (5/7)
The most I’ll concede is that folks like Barr and Pompeo *think* they’re working for Hydra. What they refuse to recognize, however, is that everyone else in the Trump White House is a D-list Cobra character. (6/7)
In conclusion, Cobra are chaos muppets, which fits the #MAGA crowd perfectly. They’re not conniving enough to be Hydra. And it sure looks like they’re about to lose to Joe (7/7)
