So you want to see both the extent to which the cops simply DO NOT CARE, and if you want to see how/why ACAB (even the "good" ones), and if you want to see how the ubiquity of cameras is changing things, watch this video (CN: cop violence, elder abuse, and bleeding)
Now, the cops' spokespeople told the media that this man "tripped and fell". Which is kind of a dark joke in cop stuff, and in domestic violence stuff. Boy, what a wild coincidence that two separate groups both stereotypically use the same cover story.

But yeah, stop for a moment and wonder at the fact that police brutality, extrajudicial punishment by police, is so normal (despite being completely illegal and very against the Constitution) that we just joke about it. "The suspect fell down the stairs." in every cop movie.
So this happens, and it is a disturbingly normal thing that the cops injure someone on purpose and say "He hurt himself when he tripped and fell."

But the whole thing is caught on camera.

And that doesn't change their behavior or their narrative one bit.
And at least one of the cops is visibly and audibly alarmed and wants to go to his aid, but is stopped... and lets himself be stopped. He will not separate himself from the pack, he will not cross ~*tHe ThIn BlUe LiNe*~. He cares more about being a cop, which means going along.
You know the thing about the good cop/bad cop routine, another staple of cop movies and shows, is that it's an act. And we all know it's an act. They talk about it as an act.

You ever stop and realize that the good cop is the fake one?
In the routine, in the stereotypical routine, the Good Cop who takes the victim's side, is the one who is putting on more of an act. They're not on the victim's side! They're working with the Bad Cop.
Here on that video we can see there's a "good cop".

And we see what happens.
The phrase is not "one bad apple is balanced out by all the other apples, which are good." It's "one bad apple spoils the bunch."
I said last night or maybe today, I don't know, time is fake, that the reason I'm in favor of police abolition is the police themselves will tell you they could not do their jobs with any meaningful reform and I don't feel like arguing with them.
A lot of what we're seeing right now is the cops rioting, conspiring, smearing, and basically fighting tooth and nail in order to make sure there can never be any meaningful oversight or accountability for what they do.
And that's part of why they'll just straight up do this on camera. They and Trump are kindred spirits in this area: they don't think it's worth doing what they do if they have to obey limits, and they will double down and dare you to stop them, to prove it.

On camera.
They don't care.
They don't care that we see them, they don't care that it's on camera or that the internet is forever or that the whole world is watching.

Because if they DO care about that, they can be controlled. They can be limited. They can be beaten.
