Rivera provided $3.5M to Miami based political fundraiser Esther Nuhfer from the project. The FEC database doesn't show her as much of an individual contributor to federal races. But the people she supported are interesting. 
The first name jumped out at me as former Congressman Pete Sessions was recently listed as "Congressman 1" in an SDNY indictment of Parnas & Fruman.
Pete Sessions (no relation to Jeff Sessions) is alleged to have taken donations from these Ukrainian hucksters in exchange for pushing to get the US Ambassador to Ukraine recalled.rollcall.com/2019/10/10/for…

The conflict arose when FBI Director Sessions attempted to help the CIA blame DOJ for the 'botched' prosecution of illegal bank loans to fund Iraqi arms purchases before Desert Storm. Wanna guess what bank was involved?

In that case, the CIA concealed evidence from DOJ in order to protect the Italian government & their own involvement in illegal arms deals.

This was also likely part of #Spygate1992 as CIA people wanted to get rid of Barr & were willing to sacrifice even GHWBush to do it!
The FBI's investigation of these illegal loans began in 1989 as BCCI was in their cross hairs following the NYC & Boston mob trials that showed they were laundering money. They were also under scrutiny for Iran Contra & other intelligence operations.

BCCI was funding anti-communist & anti-Iran activities including those by the Safari Club, a CIA front group run by allied intelligence agencies to do things the CIA could not do legally.
Of course the spin masters for all of the agencies were heavily involved.
BCCI was shutdown in the US after it was revealed they had illegally bought & controlled First American bank. You'll never guess which FBI informant was working there as an executive at the time! Robert Trump, DJT's brother!
Washington Post attempted to blame all this on President Reagan of course. But ignored or didn't yet know that BCCI & Safari Club had been set up by SoS Kissinger & CIA Director GHW Bush to evade oversight by the Church Commission following Watergate.

Fortunately some informant gave the local FBI office a tip about the illegal loans from BCCI through BNL to Saddam Hussein to buy weapons to fight Iran. Reports are they raided it without FBI HQ being in the loop!
