Former Dutch Ambassador leaked information on corruption investigations to Shell to warn them that $1B in bribes were under investigation.

While serving as Netherlands's Ambassador to Nigeria, he tipped off Shell but came under investigation for doing so. Used planes provided by the companies involved & tipped them off about law enforcement visits. 
The tip offs happened at the end of 2017. Then in 2018, the Dutch government was warned that their ambassador was protecting Shell (oil industry corruption feeds every Swamp on the planet).
Shell has admitted to being warned of the law enforcement actions, but claims it did not act on the information... Sure.
Shell & Eni have been on trial in Italy for these corrupt drilling rights they purchased with bribes.
