2/9 We talked through use cases like Personal CRM and contacts in-context, quick capture tags to collect a topic-specific thread of ideas. Sweet mana to my ears is always "I didn't get it. Now I get it" But then @seanlinehan dropped a massive knowledge bomb on me: @timberners_lee
3/9 I'm no internet historian, but I know who @timberners_lee is. What I hadn't heard of is the way he explains the concept of "linked data." So I educated myself.
4/9 "[Linked data] is about people doing their bit to produce a little bit, and it all connecting. That's how linked data works. You do your bit. Everybody else does theirs." Before the internet became dominated by data farmers hoarding the new oil, it was about raw linked data.
Side note: The internet of 2009 was 🔥 
5/9 "The people who are going to solve [the biggest problems] have half-formed ideas in their head. A lot of the state of knowledge of the human race at the moment is on databases, often sitting in their computers, and actually, currently not shared." Sound familiar?
6/9 "I want to be able to release my knowledge graph to somebody else so that they can traverse it and take my building blocks and remix it." @Conaw
7/9 I've started to understand how @RoamResearch isn't a collection of pages, but a collection of blocks. At the core level, each block represents an individual idea or data in whatever way you think they're connected.
