The meeting between Indian and Chinese military delegations at Moldo (across Chushul in Ladakh) has reportedly ended around 3 pm (after an eloborate lunch one presumes). The talks apparently went on for more than three hours before lunch.
My assessment is: If any official word has to come, it will be available late this evening simply because the 14 Corps Commander, Lt Gen Harinder Singh (who led the Indian side), would fly back to his HQ in Leh. Then brief the Northern Army Commander and the Army Chief in detail.
My guess is after the briefing, the COAS would have a meeting with the Director General Military Operations to decide on the content of an official statement. The draft statement will then be discussed with the NSA, the PMO and the MEA, among others.
After a couple of iterations, a brief statement may be issued. Or may be not. So, for all the friends who have been asking what happened at the meeting, my answer is: I have no idea and I am unwilling to speculate. So, patience!
