Today Pakistan hit 100k of confirmed #COVID19 cases. On May 22 these were 50k. The doubling time was nearly 15 days. By this measure before the third week of June the number of cases will cross 200k. Something WHO had warned Pakisatn in April, but no one heeded....

There was an opportunity in March/April to reduce the slread of infection... but there was ambivalence and preponderance of #COVIDIOTS at the top, among mullahs and even the health professional... and the the SCP Judges also jumped in to open up everything. What chaos will ensue

There was a debate between lockdown, smart lockdown or curfew... no one was or is clear what it rwally implies.. but Governor Ismail leading #COVIDIOTS said lockwon was a fashion statement... nothing to worry about... its just a flu.. #COVID19 is not must another flu

Then there were concerns over economic activity and concern for the poor... to quote someone “the tradeoff between economic concern and public health issues to deal with #COVID19 is not straightforward... but only if someone could have delved into the matter...

The purpose, in a pandemic like #COVID19 is to halt the spread of infections, in as a short time as possible, during those times you sacrifice all economic concerns... and all it means is
Test test and test... identify the contacts... and isolate...

And restrict the movement unnecessary movement of people ... don’t lock or suffocate them... masks, disinfectants, and social distancing is what were required additonally to address #COVID19

Some #COVIDIOTS conflated social distancing in public with measures at home.. saying how do do you maintain it in a family.. this was not meant for in the houses... a family share the same risks.. it was IS meant for public only...

And then there were #COVIDIOTS who claimed it will all go away by April, when temperatures will rise, people in Pakistan are resilient have immunity, its not as bad, the healthcare is sufficiently equipped and all...
you can seen a burnout and fatigue among healthcare workers.

This fatigue and burnout among healthcare providers, increasing infections and fatalities among them is what will lead to a collapse of the healthcare delivery.. its not the number of beds for critical care or ventilators that are under utilized...

In coming weeks more stringent measures will be required to impede the spread of #COVID19 infections by whichever means.. and only if the virus dies of itself or loses its infectivity, things will get worse..people can not imagine the psychological and social impact and chaos
