OPPORTUNITIES, SKILLS AND TALENTS.
The wisest man that lived expressed his observation about life and he said he realized that the fastest people don't end up winning the race and the strongest people are not usually the winners in battles.

There is something that causes that...

Also, the wisest people are not eventually the most prosperous, neither is riches for the most intelligent nor success to men of ability but time and chance happen to them all.

I am sure you have seen the above scenarios many times.

An aberration? You may ask...

Does the above indicate that strength, speed, wisdom, intelligence and ability are not important in life?

Not at all! All the above can be referred to as skills and talents but you need more than skills and talents to succeed in life.

Solomon saw from the experiences of people that he observed that success in life requires more than skills and talents. Opportunities need to be created for you to make an impact in life. Show me a man of success and I will show you a man who maximized his opportunities.

No matter how skillful and talented you are, if you didn't encounter the opportunity to express your skills and talents, it will never amount to anything. Those who have been successful today were successful because opportunities were available for them and they latched on to it

Have you noticed that the most successful people in academic sets are not the most brilliant? It is because we have varied opportunities in life and how prepared we are determines how opportunities are used and explored. Opportunities are what distinguishes two brilliant people.

If you have skills and talents but lack opportunities, there will be a limit to how far you can go.

Life can be a mystery sometimes and that is why you must never look down on anyone. You are what you are today because you got opportunities on your way to the top.

No doubt, you are brilliant, very good, you are skillful and talented but you will never have reached the height you are today if God or nature or events, depending on which one of these you believe in, have not created the opportunities for you. You're a product of opportunities

Some people will never have known you if a platform was not created for you to exhibit your skills and talents. Are you aware that there are many footballers that have more skills and are more talented than the footballers we have paraded at the national level?

Those footballers are skillful & talented but they haven't been able to get a platform to express themselves that will enable other people in the world know abt them. There was a Kanu Nwankwo in 🇳🇬 who had the opportunity of Japan 93 & Atlanta 96 to show case his skills & talents

The difference between you and your friend who is as brilliant as you are but not as successful as you is the opportunities that have come your way. By the way, opportunities coming your way is outside your control. Opportunities are products of providence.

We talk about creating opportunities but opportunities can only be created if other elements of nature are in your favour. If you attempt creating opportunities but the forces of nature work against you, your efforts will amount to nothing.

Have you considered that a farmer can only plant his seed on a good ground & water it but the element of nature that will make the crop grow are outside his control? No farmer controls the weather. This is why we must be humble in victory especially when things work in our favour

There are former governors today that we make reference to when it comes to their performance in office but you will never have known them if someone had not pushed them forward or citizens voted for them on a platform where people now see that they are skillful and talented.

The flipside of this is that you must also be prepared for opportunities. Abraham Lincoln said "I will study and prepare myself, and someday my chance will come" You must be prepared for opportunities. That is what makes opportunities viable.

Lack of preparation results in waste of opportunities.

Life is a matter of preparation and opportunities.

You must pray for opportunities but you also have a responsibility to be prepared when the opportunity strikes.

May time favour you. May opportunities work in your favour.

May you receive grace to be prepared ahead of the time and chance that I know in my knowing will surely come your way.

As the world is going through her toughest moment in the last century, be prepared ahead of the opportunities and God will surely make a way for you.
