Supreme Court bench led by J. Ashok Bhushan begins hearing petition seeking waiver of interest on loan moratorium provided by @RBI

J Bhushan: Our concern is when you have deferred loan for three months then how can interest of these 3 months be added to the capital?
SG Tushar Mehta: I need some time to file a reply

J MR Shah: But RBI has already filed a reply with the newspaper

SG: No, my lord.

J Kaul: RBI went beyond what was asked. We never said waive off full interest.
SG Mehta: I need to sit down with the RBI officials and have a meeting.

Senior Adv Rohatgi (appearing for SBI): We need to discuss with RBI. Please list the CREDAI (relating to NBFC) matter separately
J Bhushan: SG Mehta to convene meeting with RBI and ministry of finance officials this weekend. Let the matter be listed on June 17.
