(1/4) Dear All. Further to my Tweet on Degradation of Military since 3rd CPC with effect from 01 Jan 1973, an International Kaleidoscope showing edge in Pay and Pensions of Defence Forces vis-a-vis Civilian Employees is as under:-

(2/4) All major Countries give an edge of 15-20 percent to Defence Forces over their Civilian Counterparts, Where as India does not give any edge. Infact, the edge which existed was systemstically removed from 1973 to 2006. 1:2.4 was brought down to 1:1.
(3/3) This was done even when the Defence Forces had won a decisive Victory in 1971 War, Fighting active Insurgency in NE, J&K and protecting the Integrity and Sovereignty of India even at the Peril of their life.
(4/4) Why the edge of Defence Forces was removed, had no valid justification or logic. There is an urgent need for the Restoration of Respevt, Justice and Status of Soldiers.
