This @60Minutes segment has me disgusted and enraged all over again. “The first time aircraft were used to terrorize Americans was not 9/11. It was Greenwood, 1921.” — a quote fro the segment.
They herded the survivors into internment camps. Note that any attempts to justify this in the comments will result in an instantaneous block.
This is not ancient history. My mother and Dr. King were born 8 years after the Greenwood massacre, one month apart, in 1929. Both my mom’s and MLK’s grandparents were enslaved, on different continents. Evil is closer in the mirror than it appears.
And the fact that the NATIONAL GUARD marched in and FLEW BOMBERS in to help wipe out this community, which black men and women built on their own, as a little haven from the racist, awful world that was 1920s America ... whoo! Makes you wanna holler...
We need a more honest, thorough history education in America. And a truth and reconciliation commission...
