Kansas based Bradken bought the foundry in Takoma, WA in 2008 & learned in 2017 that the strength tests were fraudulent. But tried at first to claim it was error not fraud.
Elaine Thomas who worked at the facility for 40 years has been charged with 1 count of fraud, but the company shows 200 test results were fraudulent...
It looks like Bradken bought this foundry not knowing it was function in this manner, but then took a decade to figure it out...
