My God, you are *horrible* at this.

As I noted in the thread you didn't even read, the Philadelphia Plan was launched in November 1967 -- a full year before Nixon was even *elected* and as a result of LBJ's policies.

Here's a news article on it. (Philadelphia Inquirer, 4/18/68)
Wait! It gets better.

Here’s the book @DineshDSouza says supports his claim that Nixon initiated the Philadelphia Plan, not Johnson.

“... the Philadelphia Plan inherited from the Johnson Administration ...”

I should stress, he isn’t just wrong on the date here.

He also misstated the reason Nixon continued the Phil Plan — it wasn’t a sign of his sincere support of civil rights, it was political calculus.

Dov Grohsgal and I wrote about it in @TheAtlantic:

Wait, wait, it gets even better.

After citing a source that actually refuted him in this thread, D'Souza cited *another* source that refuted him in a completely separate thread.

I'm starting to think the real issue here isn't that D'Souza never took a single class in American history in college or read anything in the field after it -- that's part of it, to be sure -- but I think he just has fundamental problems with reading comprehension generally.
