How to use Letters to Sell Anything

My first attempt at writing letters to sell Social Media Management was a campaign I predicted would fail. I scheduled 3 appointments 4 days after I started the campaign.

From that experience, I realized...
Letters are an overlooked, but highly effective marketing method because it allows you express true feelings & emotions through written words.

With the right choice of words, you can reach a special place in the mind of the reader

Does this means anyone write letters that sell?
Absolutely.

How?
Step 1: Analyze and understand who you’re writing to.

To convince, persuade, motivate or sell to someone, you must understand that person

To understand that person, you must determine what their priorities are and address them

Step 2: Study your product/offer
Never forget that people do not buy things for what they are. They buy for what they can do.

Tell them what it can do. Benefits outsells features, any day, any time

Step 3: Identify the flaws of the product/services and address it openly
This takes care of the objections already building up in your reader’s mind. Tackle it before it comes out of their mouths.

And there you have it, in 3 easy steps

Of course, there are other things you need to take into consideration such as;
- Including attention grabbers
- Motivating an action and such,

But instead of telling you what to do, I’ll show you. Here is a copy of the letter I sent out, proposing Social Media Management for law firms.

Don’t copy it. Use it as a guide
