Betsy Rothstein passed away among family Sunday evening. Words cannot express the debt of gratitude I owe the Almighty for giving me what little time I had with her as a friend and colleague.

Here is the email Tucker sent staff when she was hired. It perfectly embodies Betsy Rothstein’s posture while she worked for us. “Betsy does what she wants” pretty much became a mantra here, much to the chagrin of the subjects of her coverage. 
I would also like to express my deep gratitude to @Olivianuzzi & @mdornic. Betsy kept me up past my bedtime talking about all things media and gossip at the most random times a couple months ago. She spoke highly of both of you, I know she appreciated your friendship.
Since I broke the news to them, the staff has spent their evening remembering the funniest stories you wrote @betsyscribeindc.

Without fear or favor ... I’ve known a lot of reporters and none lived this mantra as fully as Betsy did. Not even close.
This was one of my favorite things about Betsy.
