This is funny. Having read every bit of the Horowitz report that is about how the investigation was launched and on what basis, it’s clear the FBI’s efforts would have ended much more early on were it not for the way the dossier supercharged Page’s FISA warrants.
Their CHS efforts up until the point the dossier came into play yielded either “irrelevant” info or info that undermined the idea the campaign was coordinating with Russia.

(Horowitz noted prominently that the latter was quite ostentatiously excluded from the FISA warrant apps.)
What’s interesting and disconcerting about those bits of the IG report is that many of the nation’s top reporters are serially miscasting key elements of the investigation.

No, the dossier did not “start” the investigation.

But without the dossier, the investigation dies early.

NYTimes own walk back on the viral video of the Catholic school boys still allows Phillips to bald-faced lie about what he was doing, despite clear video evidence.
.This is EMBARRASSING. It is revisionism at its worst in an attempt to cover up for poor decisions and even poorer reporting.
.Phillips spent the day race baiting and milking the media for everything it was worth. Now that the videos dropped, he was merely starting a “prayer circle.”

1. Let's get this straight: Dems and media allies complain ab Fake News tipping th election, whch Ivy League studies show is .... fake news.
2. They then pressure our most lucrative markets - tech - to witch hunt/censor information they don't like (common practice now on campuses)
3. They (and their media allies) spend a year citing an objectively dodgy dossier as key evidence in grounds for impeachment.

I’m on King’s Parade in Cambridge again for the fourth day running as councillors have again said they are due to close the new anti-terror barrier today. The road is very busy with cyclists at the moment. King’s Parade, Cambridge
The reason for delay starting the barrier’s operation was given as new signs and markings being required. I can’t see any new signs and markings today.

They tried to make Apple create a custom iOS on the San Bdo phone with zero time to test the code, but only after they fucked up and locked themselves out by resetting the iCloud password so it couldn't sync. These are the people who want to dictate nationwide encryption policy.
