@UplandUnifiedSD Taxation without Representation-- The Upland Board approved a contract for attorneys to sue children with disabilities and profit from denying them services. They literally voted on a contract that they had not seen. Many parents and advocates complained about
the law firm of @F3Law who has hijacked @UplandUnifiedSD, marginalized teachers and make a profit by generating special education disputes. The Upland board ignored all the concerns from citizens and approved the contract which has no cap so it is essentially a blank check to the
law firm to profit from our Upland tax dollars. The contract was nowhere to be found on the agenda packet which is interesting as all other contracts were included. The standard contract for @F3Law, which parents have obtained copies of from other districts who do make it
available to the public; has a clause that allows for the hiring of private investigators who are doing what amounts to government surveillance of private citizens laundered through third parties. The @UplandUnifiedSD seems to be in disarray as Board President Linda Angona
abruptly resigned, today is the Sup’s last day and a $36M short term deficit was announced. The district's answer is to hire a communications firm and pay them $175/hour to do "strategic" communications to get the message out that we are doing great.
