Some things that bug me about living in Canada that I would like to see changed in my lifetime.

The fact that only like 9% of all the Country is 'owned' privately by Citizens/Business. But the remainder 90%+ is Crown Land.

Want to homestead and build up that piece of wilderness into a farm/ranch while lowering food prices locally? Smaller carbon footprint by not importing a bonus?

NOPE! We abandoned the Dominion Act (Homesteading) in 1930.

Want to get into agriculture or hobby farm to help your community/family thrive?

Become a debt slave and pay $600K+ (avg.) for that quarter section of land.

Multiply price by 160 to get a quarter section.

Don't want to live in large metropolitan city and raise your children in a quiet small town?

Papermill's, mines, timber harvesting etc. shut down by Gov/NGO environmental policies so they become poor prospects to live.

Natural resources become unavailable to THE PEOPLE.
Feel packed like sardines in a can where you live? Don't worry as the housing prices goes skywards and the banks tempt you to be a debt slave there is another option!

You can watch as they tear down homes and make way for a new condo or apartment!

Land in Canada is not 'owned' like a citizen of of the USA would have of their property.

You essentially just have 'land tenure' and the Queen is the head of state and has ownership.

Are we truly independent? Is the Governor/Lieutenant General positions truly a formality?
"Since Canada uses primarily English-derived common law, the holders of the land actually have land tenure (permission to hold land from the Crown) rather than absolute ownership."
