Mass care is National ability to address within communities (excluding quarantine shelter-in-place locations) needs of those impacted.This capability includes coordinating ongoing surveillance & assessments to ensure that health needs, continue to be met as COVID-19 evolves.

This capability consists of ability to perform functions such as-:
• Determining public health role in mass care operations
• Determining mass care health needs of impacted
population
• Coordinate public health, health care,& mental/behavioral
health services.
Can we?

Have we even identified @MOH_Kenya's role in mass care operations. Or determined mass care roles & responsibilities of the County & Sub-County public health agencies as a leads working with communities. Or addressed basics such as access & functional needs of at-risk individuals?

Have we operationalized the @MOH_Kenya mass care role, for it to coordinate with Emergency Support Functions, especially conducting COVID-19 continued surveillance & safety assessments, or provided support for addressing the access & functional needs of at-risk individuals ?

What procedural arrangements are in place to coordinate with Emergency Support Functions, including Emergency
Mgmt, environmental health, & or identify jurisdictional public health lead or support role(s) for mass care? @alaminkimathi @AlhajAdan @Gladwellotieno @VictorMwambacha

Whilst at it are roles & responsibilities explicit in-:
• Supporting the delivery of health care by jurisdictional
partners
• Providing access to mental/behavioral health services
• Coordinating logistics for mass sheltering with an Incident

individuals with access and functional needs
• Conducting and reporting on human health surveillance,
including investigating secondary contagious diseases

Before even thinking of opening the Country up, have we determined the National public health, health care, human services, & mental/behavioral health needs. Which as it is out weigh the economic angle some are concentrated on?
