#Nigeria: I don't mind it when people criticise the government and express some level of discouragement about the state of things in the country.

But I believe we must understand the issues and apportion blames appropriately.
Let's be honest , what is the state of power in your arear? What is the level of insecurity? Healthcare?Law enforcement and obtaining justice via our courts?

Truth is, it takes some level of privilege to lead a meaningful in our country as of today.
If you have a job today , most likely someone somewhere pushed your papers but today you attribute it to God! ... you already come from a privileged background anyway.

Convert your Naira earnings to dollars and ask yourself if you can actually afford any international trip.
However, we must realise how and when our socio-economic impoverishment started.

If you care not to understand the trans-generational impacts of slavery, colonialism and imperialism on the contemporary socio-economic realities of Africans then you are getting a lot wrong.
Combine the above with the poverty mindset of the political elite that got entrenched post-colonialism and then you have a clear picture of why we have remained poverty-stricken as a people.

Looting and exportation of capital started in the first republic!
The looting only got worse in recent times. Of special mention is the Abacha looting spree and the PDP era. I must mention that I cannot completely vouch for certain national and sub-national actors in the present dispensation led by the APC.
All the problem we see today have a long history behind them. We must not fail to always seek the root-cause of our problems, only then can we find lasting solutions.

When you see a government trying strenuously to solve certain perenial problems, we must learn to applaud .
