The baselines are imp in the expression of all maritime jurisdictions.The principle for the determination of maritime juris. are the baselines. The jurisdictions determined on the basis of 74 (2) or 83 (2) or 16 (2) stated in the UNCLOS can only be established with the baselines.
These lines separate territorial waters / interland waters. The full and exclusive legal regime to be implemented by the coastal country in these areas is determined by the baselines and the exclusive sovereign and other dominant jurisdiction regimes beyond that are established.
Unfortunately,Turkey's internal waters have not been determined and the starting point of baselines for territorial waters have not shown in the map.For ex, Iskenderun Bay is the legal bay. It cannot be shown as EEZ. If it is shown, it is removed from the exclusive sovereign area

According to UNCLOS, river mouths, gulfs, harbors, and outer harbors have an important influence on the determination of straight bases. Bays are two types as legal and historical. Antalya Bays is the historical gulf.
