for the last 3 or so years i've seen so many women telling GC women that their concerns were overblown or downright invalidated as bigoted because "if it doesn't affect me, it shouldn't affect you."
the topics of female-only spaces such as changing rooms, hospital wards, sanitary & sleeping accommodation, refuges & rape crisis centres, hostels, prisons & sports have all been targeted as hateful if you believe in females as a sex class in need of some kind of segregation.
the ability of women to come together to speak abt these issues has been attacked, figuratively & literally. "problematic" women have been surrounded & intimidated & at the libraries & meeting places where have tried to discuss their own sex-based rights.
there's been an effort to redefine the word woman to mean whatever you want it to mean. how many women did that affect? does this not affect them?

NB. petition was taken down by @Change
for hate speech. & @MerriamWebster use "woman" in the def for TW

women have been called "menstruators" [nvm uterus havers] & derided as hateful, ignorant, bigoted for demanding that stop & pointing out that only females menstruate. does this not affect them?

NB. petition was taken down by @Change
for hate speech.

the sub Reddit for Endometriosis was co-opted & comments where women discussed their bodies deleted as transphobic. an estimated 200mil women, worldwide, suffer from Endometriosis. does this not affect them?

the s/Reddit for PCOS [again, 1 in 10 women suffer from this-approx 200mil women] was co-opted to remove "phobic" & hateful sex-specific discourse & a new 1 was created to talk about female only health issues. it was taken down. does this not affect them?

#OnlyFemalesGetCervicalCancer is trending because the NHS has been removing the word 'woman' from their materials on cervical cancer & you can now be
disciplined by Twitter for stating that fact. It was declared hateful. does this not affect them?

even in the Pregnancy sub Reddit, women can't even talk about pregnancy w/out being seen as hateful. 3.9 billion women, all who have the biological capacity to give birth, if not the medical capacity- silenced. does this not affect them? how does it not?

but maybe topics like how you're defined & sex specific health issues are niche. how about the sub Reddit for AskWomen-1.5mil members? this was also co-opted & referring to the female sex class will get you banned. does this not affect them?

@MerriamWebster ["irregardless" of whether or not you think they're a joke] redefined "homosexual" to include "now sometimes offensive." lesbians have been under attack for years to adhere to the tenet of the "cotton ceiling." does this not affect them?

sexuality is policed on Reddit as well, but only one way of course. of 3 main Lesbian sub Reddits, 2 adhere to it's "transphobia" for lesbians to not sleep with TW who have penis's & the other is used x men to post pornography. does this not affect them?

where is the wider scrutiny of males, of all identification, who've bombarded @jk_rowling with vile, sexist abuse? or those who have tainted her comments on children's illustrations w/hateful rhetoric & graphic content of the very maleness they deny?

i just wonder how many women need to be affected before it affects them? & then what?
i have to say, i'm a bit blown away & appreciative of the response to this thread. tbh, it could have gone on: detransitioners, de-platforming, academic & workplace harassment, threats of physical/sexual violence, doxxing-the list goes on. it's a very dangerous time for women.
the next big push was meant to make equal pay & equal representation a reality for our daughters, to ensure women were safe in the workplace/the street/their homes-to put an end to a cycle of male violence-not a life struggle to maintain the very definition of the word "woman,"
or having to defend from charges of bigotry for saying "female" is a thing, that there shouldn't be a blanket allowance for entry into vulnerable spaces. so, thank you to all the amazing women who brave this every day. you are not alone.
