Sambit's tweet is much more sinister and disgusting than it seems.
A short thread.

Apart from #Hindi, the two most spoken languages in #Uttarakhand(UA) are Garhwali(2.5 mil speakers, 23%) and Kumaoni(2 mil speakers, 20%).
Both the languages have a thriving entertainment industry, rich local literature and are active languages.
(chart from Wiki)
The demand to create a separate state, Uttarakhand(UA), was accompanied by the demand to promote the regional languages.
In 2000, UA was formed with Hindi as the Official Language and #Dehradun(the station in the pic) as capital.
In 2010, a bill was presented in Parliament to do that but wasn't even discussed.
In 2010, instead, Sanskrit was added as Additional Official Language of the State.
It was an insult to the effort of 5 decades of local struggle.
And now it is on the board.
So what you see in the lowlife's tweet is not just a signal to Muslims and Urdu speakers.
It is also a signal to the regional diversity of India.
That they have to follow a template.
Else, they don't matter.
a few people have claimed that the pics from lowlife are photoshopped.
Not true.
He only posted them now. Names were changed in Feb and reverted after people resisted.
Also, the intent is clear. Supremacy.
