Let's learn about another Warrior Queen of Bharat.

THE LEGEND OF NAAK KAATI RANI:QUEEN KARNAVATI OF #GARHWAL
The story of Queen #Karnavati is another gem burried deep in the history which couldn't find its place in the modern #History textbooks.
The Islamic #Mughal invaders who conquered and ravaged many parts of #India, committing atrocities on local populations have somehow been romanticized and idolized in #IndianHistory books, courtesy if the Leftist- Marxist Education system that modern India has.

Geological, historical & geophysical observations show that the entire Himalayan arc is poised to produce a sequence of great #earthquake. Human catastrophe likely to be unprecedented. The abstract is scary to the point. @yamunajiye #Uttarakhand #Himalayas pubs.geoscienceworld.org/ssa/srl/articl… Image
It is estimated that due to the average rate of convergence between the Indian and Asian plates, every year adds additional strain on the Main Himalayan Thrust (MHT) that needs an Mw =7.3 #earthquake for release. @yamunajiye @RaajSonak
As per a review of earthquakes in the #Himalayas in past 1000 years; over the past 500 years, there haven’t been enough big earthquakes (Mw = 8 and above) to ease the accumulated strain in large sections of the Himalayan arc.

#BREAKING: India’s National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC) under the chairmanship of Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba met today to review the situation arising out of the natural disaster in #Uttarakhand caused by glacial burst. Here are the details in the long thread below: 👇
Chief Secretary, Government of #Uttarakhand briefed the Committee through video conference on the ground situation as well as the actions taken by them after the incident to evacuate people and to contain the damage caused by the flooding due to the glacial burst.
Glacial burst led to the rising water levels in the river Rishiganga which washed away the Rishiganga small hydro project of 13.2 MW. The flash flood also affected the downstream hydro project of NTPC at Tapovan on the river Dhauliganga which is a tributary of river Alaknanda.

What's happening in #Uttarakhand is a result of absolute ignorance from state. The residents of Reni Village in #Chamoli district had filled a PIL in 2019 stating the environmentally disastrous activities by the private power company building the #RishiGangaPowerProject

The company also used explosives in the area which falls within the sensitive Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve.
As a result, the wild animals fled the area.
Today, the state is witnessing a natural calamity which is a consequence of neglect.

An avalanche broke in the river Dhauli Ganga and immediately flooded the mountain terrain. This led to destruction of the #RishiGangaPowerProject. High alert has been issued in the lower districts & along the course of river. Rescue work has also started by CRPF and SDRF

A strange phenomenon is happening in my state #Uttarakhand If you understand this in context of the "mood of the nation" you will understand what I am talking about. A lot of parents are sending their kids back to GOVERNMENT schools. Yes!
Now, you might ask, what is the big deal? The big deal is that even though it is good news, it is a big blow to the aspirational mindset of a common village family. I will tell you how.
A few years ago, several new "English Medium" schools started sprouting here.
These schools often taught primary classes, sometimes till class 8th. The aim of the schools was to give the "English Medium" education that the rural parents aspired for.
The schools weren't necessarily providing quality education.
