The difference between coverage of the COVID-19 scandal in the NYT and coverage of the COVID-19 scandal in Proof of Corruption is that @maggieNYT keeps identifying key moments later and later in 2020—and my book proves the key moments are farther back in 2019 than anyone realizes 
PS/ The oddest part is we're both using major-media reporting 🧐
PS2/ I do find it...distressing...that the NYT's last comprehensive report on the COVID-19 scandal began its timeline in January 2020—wildly off as a matter of consensus major-media reporting—and the new one identifies April (not early March, like everyone else) as the key period
PS3/ Every time the scandal timeline is pushed farther into 2020, it bolsters Trump's propaganda on how the pandemic has been handled; by comparison, every time the timeline is properly set as beginning in September 2019 (when Wuhan hospitalizations spiked) the whole story shifts
