.@NPR reported that 600K+ people had died from #COVID19 worldwide. That’s a tragic number that should concern all of us & prompt us to take precautions. However, we must also keep the number in perspective & fight against a pandemic of fear. 1/4 npr.org/sections/coron…
Here are a few other numbers to consider that are also concerning & tragic:
· 17M+ people die of cardiovascular disease every year worldwide.
· Cancer was responsible for an estimated 9.6 million deaths in 2018, & is the 2nd leading cause of death globally.
2/4
· @WHO estimates that almost 800K people die from suicide every year.
· Between 2010–2014, on average, 56M induced abortions occurred worldwide each year.
· Each year, 1.35 million people are killed on roadways around the world.

The most important thing when we do face death & step into eternity is whether or not we have put our trust in Jesus Christ, coming to Him in repentance & faith. 4/4

101 police officers have been shot in the line of duty already this year—that’s a 43% increase over last year. Chicago alderman Anthony Napolitano, who is also a former police officer, said crime has taken over their city and “we’re the land of the lost.” foxnews.com/media/chicago-…
Chicago & other cities are the land of the lost. Last weekend we had blood spilt from Chicago to Arkansas to Sacramento & beyond. President Biden says it’s guns; but it’s not the guns—it’s the people behind the guns. As a nation we’re adrift & lost in a sea of moral pollution.
As followers of Christ, we must faithfully share the truth about the cost of sin, the Good News of God’s love and forgiveness available through repentance and faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. He can bring healing to broken hearts, lives, and even cities.
Today marks one year since the attack on our nation’s Capitol. Many people may disagree with me, but I blame the swamp. If the “January 6 Committee” wants to find the truth about who was behind the attack, they don’t have to look any further than Washington and its corruption.
The vast majority of the million or so people who went to Washington that day were patriots who love this country and were there to take a stand for our nation. But those who stormed the Capitol were wrong.
We need to pray. This great country is being lost, collapsing from within. As we begin 2022, join me in praying for our nation and its leaders. We won’t find our hope in politicians. The only true hope is in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Today we celebrate the American worker—the entrepreneurs w/ their dreams & the workers w/their skills who built this nation. But it’s troubling to see the disregard we now see for hard work. Almost every business is trying to hire people, but so many don’t want to work. #LaborDay
With @POTUS45 Trump, the US had the strongest economy, some say since Eisenhower, & we had more people working than at any time in our history—but it’s evaporating. COVID had an impact, but political mismanagement has dealt a debilitating blow.
Repeated stimulus payments & giveaway packages have encouraged people not to go to work. The Republicans seem to know how to get people to work and the Democrats seem to know how to tax your money and give it to people as an incentive not to work.
I don’t think I have ever seen the level of hatred we are seeing around us today. It’s chilling. Where does this hate come from? It comes from the human heart.
America has a spiritual crisis. We have turned our back on our Creator, the Author of our freedom, and the One who has bestowed on us the bounty of this land that we enjoy.
Just because other people’s hearts are filled with hate, don’t let hate fill yours. Let God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, give you the strength, the joy, the fulfillment, and the peace that only He can. Jesus Himself instructs us to love our enemies.
.@JoeBiden has warned of a “dark winter” for our nation. But the dark winter we’re facing is not due just to #COVID19, it’s due to the moral decline & the political corruption we see throughout the US. My prayer is that truth will prevail in the political crisis we’re facing.
My father @BillyGraham once told me that he had met w/Winston Churchill back in the late 1940’s & Winston Churchill said that he had no hope for the future of our world. Outside of God, that is right—there is no hope.
We could face a dark period of history as God turns His back on our nation because of its sins & our politicians embracing, & even flaunting, sin. Sadly to say, even some churches are embracing what God defines as sin. We need to confess our sins & turn to Him in true repentance.
While campaigning for Joe Biden, Jane Fonda said, “I just think COVID is God’s gift to the left...” The long-time progressive said the virus which has reportedly killed 200,000+ Americans—“has ripped the Band-Aid off who [@POTUS@realDonaldTrump] is & what he stands for.” Wow.
Does Jane Fonda realize that maybe this terrible pandemic has also “ripped the Band-Aid off” what the socialist progressives really stand for and the disastrous way many of them have governed their cities and states across the nation in this crisis? thehill.com/homenews/media…
Isn’t it a shame that @POTUS@realDonaldTrump’s enemies would forfeit a booming economy—and the health, livelihoods, and the very lives of Americans—if it is a way they could win an election. My prayer is that God would intervene and save this nation.
