Prep'dness simply means ensuring all arrangements are in place should an emergency occur, any resources needed to cope with the effects can be efficiently deployed. So with @MikeSonko's Waithaka dormitory look alike Stn uncommissioned, how efficient was the response? @mlimakenya

All four businessmen we insured & have already liaised with their insurance companies. But the insurance is not the go to, when shit hits the fan. For starters, were the premises ever audited for fire prevention ? Were the security guards trained in basic fire prep'dness?

Did the premises have fire extinguishers, a hydrant nearby, of the basics required for them to operate a garage ? They colonial times Kanjo Fire Prevention protocols & fire Inspector's gravy train notwithstanding. Why doesn't @InteriorKE oversight such, yet it is public safety?

From a City planning perspective, quick combat turn around & the theft of land Fire Hydrants dotting Nairobi once stood. What replenishment protocols are in place or is @NMS_Kenya doing to address the malignant lack of water, a key component in fire responses? @NairobiJiji

That Nairobi is a sitting duck fire response wise, is an open secret. How then is @NMS_Kenya, planning to redress the quagmire efficiency & personnel is. Lest we forget, Kanjo has an aging core of less than 1000 emergency responders, catering for the needs of nearly 4M people?

Kenya as a whole, has for 56 years & counting, continued to lack a National training institution, hence the gap in human resource development. What is @InteriorKE & @FredMatiangi, in whose domain Public Safety rests doing to address the Mickey Mousiness current? @FauzKhalid

The purpose of early warning systems is to persuade & enable people as well as organizations to take actions to increase safety & or reduce hazard impacts. Why then upon discontinuance of the 999 calling system, @InteriorKE @FredMatiangi continued to sleep on the job? @gathara

Kenya as a lip service Country is second to none. Even after signing various International protocols on Disaster Mgmt. Why is it that the Govt of the day continues to pussy foot principles to reduce either occurrence likelihoods, their consequences, or both? @Ma3Route @HakiNgo
