Is like saying “inhaling is better than exhaling”

We exist in the 3rd dimension. 2D thinking leads to suffering 👇🏼
Is North better than South?

Is hot better than cold?

Is sowing better than reaping?

Each has its time and place

A harmonious life in our 3rd dimension is a life that responds with the optimal side in its optimal moment
There is both brilliance & nonsense in Eastern philosophy

There is both brilliance & nonsense in Western Philosophy

To be engaged is to extract the brilliance & integrate the optimal elements

Attached is to miss out on the brilliance of the other side
One is adapting & thinking

The other does not adapt & does not think

Seasons are always changing
The only constant is change

A life of friction awaits a person who is attached & not adapting
The winter coat may serve you in the winter

But every other season you’ll experience friction aka discomfort/suffering if you keep it on

“Every truth is a half truth”
Both sides have pros and cons

Harmonious living is to pick the optimal side in its optimal season
This applies in all things

Social Example:
Value & Comfort

- All value no comfort
Leads to missed opportunities, loneliness, respect to an extent but no deeper connection, distant and not relatable
- All comfort and no value and you’ll be disrespected, you’ll often be the back up, not a priority

Balance is the answer...right?

Somewhat

Because as we said different scenarios call for different sides..
Your homies
Your partner
Your clients/boss

These all would call for different levels of value/comfort

An entire book can be written with examples of the pros and cons of each side of everything

^ this is just one as an example

To conclude...
There is 2 sides

But in our 3rd dimension which side varies on the season/situation

There is mom & dad
Day & night
Hot & cold
Sleep & awake
Left & right
Happy & sad
Creative & administrative
Produce & consume
Fast & Slow
It appears to be in fashion to lean toward extremes

🔑 Because social media rewards polarizing content

If I say “fast is better than slow”

There will be tons of engagement

Team ‘fast’ will love it, like, RT, reply

Team ‘slow’ will swoop in to argue
The wise thing is to implement fast & slow where appropriate

But that sparks no emotion, gets no engagement & will be scrolled past

It is for this reason the worlds greatest insights & wisdom are not popular & you must find/seek them

..they won’t find you

🥂 Cheers,
- Yous
