BREAKING: With today's #COVID19 report, this is officially the worst week of the pandemic for new hospitalizations in Tennessee. The state is also on verge of new weekly record in deaths. DETAILED ANALYSIS TO FOLLOW 1/
104 new #COVID19 hospitalizations reported today in Tennessee is the 2nd highest one-day total of the pandemic. Twice this week, we had record highs of 109. (119 earlier in pandemic was a statistical correction, not a one-day total.) 2/
With one day still to go, the number of new #COVID19 hospitalizations has passed last week's record high. 3/
Hospital census continues to go up, with 1,083 confirmed #COVID19 cases now hospitalized - along with another 347 suspected cases. (Today's data appears to be missing reports from perhaps 3 hospitals.) 4/
This is a look at Tennessee hospital capacity as far as bed/equipment counts; what's not shown is that some hospitals are dealing with staffing challenges due to #COVID19 5/
Tennessee is poised to set a new weekly record for reported #COVID19 deaths when reports come in tomorrow 6/
Today's report of 2,091 new #COVID19 cases is the 11th highest of the pandemic, but the state says getting test results back from labs is becoming more problematic 7/
Here's where we stand so far this week compared to last. Again, we don't know exactly what the backlog of test results is 8/
Positivity - percentage of new tests that come back positive -- for the week holding at just under 9% 9/
Each day brings a new record in the number of Tennesseans in the active stages of #COVID19, now at 34,401. (Active = confirmed cases - recovered - deaths.) 10/10
