"Know that decisions you make are putting lives at stake. Teachers are NOT comfortable with your plan. Please, it is imperative we are engaged in SOLELY remote learning, not in-person instruction."
"It's easy for you to be socially distant at CPS HQ, but would you implement this same plan if you were going to be in-class with me teaching 9th graders in a school with 3,000 students?"
"Throughout this meeting, CPS simply reiterated the strange, overly complex, and hazardous plan that they had already presented. No new information. No answers to the hard questions that the various attendees asked."
"This is usually around the time of summer that I start planning and preparing for the upcoming school year. In the past, I usually experienced a mixture of excitement at the fresh start and anxiety about the surprises and challenges the school year might hold."
