Narahari teertha was a Dwaita philosopher & one of the disciples of Madhvacharya.He is considered to be the progenitor of the Haridasa movement,born in Ganjam(present Gajapatidist) of Odisha

He was the second after Shri Madhwacharya . History says he was born in a village of eastern ghats during 13th century. Now that village named after his name called NarahariPur. Which was under Srimukhalingam Manadal of Kalinga.

He was appointed as a Mandalika or Governor of madhya Kalinga (present Ganjam &srikakulam area) Ganga Narapati bhanudeba (1) of Eastern Ganga Dynasty. He composed Many Sanskrit verses which was popularly known as NarahariYati Stotram.

It is said that he also appointed as a regent of the young prince , Narasingha Deva (।।) 1278-1305.AD for about twelve years or so.But from epigraphical records it is known that he was lIving in kalinga I n between1264.-1293AD.

Built swetapuskarini mandalam in front of Deula.It is said that he want to establish a yogananda Narasimha sculpture there.But it's not found there now. the Mandapa was built by the stone artist of " Ganjam Mathura karigara"of Orissa

The Matsya rules of Oddavadi(land of Odra) became independent of the Gangas and chose Vaishnavism under the influence of Shri Narahari Teertha. Arjuna became Narasimha Vardhana, Annamaraja Gopalavardhana and Munjaditya Shrirangavardhana.

Shri Narahari Teertha was also responsible for the conversion of many princely and aristocratic families of Kalinga and Andhra regions to Madhva fold..Sense we can find Haridasu harikathamrutam in northern Coastal andhra region .
