The Meenakshi Amman temple ,Madurai is one of the most prominent temple of India .

Here are some most interesting fact about the Temple.

1. It is one of the largest temple complex of India dedicated to tripled Bresated, Fished- Eyed Goddess Meenakshi Amman.
2.The temple is the life line of
2500 yrs old city of Madurai. It was destroyed many times by invaders in past.The present structure is built in 16th century.

3.The temple has 14 Gopuram out of them 4 major one are situated facing 4 directions.
There r 4 inner Gopuram th8 act as Entrance to the Shrine.
