My political mentor who is also the LAST African leader to walk the face of the earth, Late President Thomas Sankara said something about imperialism..
I’m a Marxist/Socialist and a Pan-Africanist just like the African Che Guevara(#ThomasSankara) and I can boldly say that the present day African leaders have failed us..
Should I say that’s because they’re not enlightened or educated enough?
Or certainly blaim it on their self centeredness and inhumanity? I’ve been studying and researching the reason behind the failed state of #Africa(#Nigeria) and it’s crystal clear the reason for this failure is the egotism among the vanguard.
The vast accomplishments and political ideologies or critique of some Marxist historicism like Thomas Sankara and others should be a guiding principle to achieving a prosperous country.
Sadly, our leaders are turning deaf ears to the protesting songbirds retrospectively singing at their windows, they choose to be inordinately intoxicated by actively indulging in capitalism and imperialism...
I’d like to pinpoint two facts from the the Marxism philosophy to examine #capitalism in Africa.
In his books, 1. Marx said the supremacy relationships between Capitalists and workers were inherently exploitative and would inevitably result to a class conflict.
2. Marx also said this disagreement would lead to revolution where the community of working class would go against or overthrow capitalist and gain control of the economy.
Now, from the aforementioned philosophical thoughts, I hope everyone reading this can relate this with the current state AFRICA(NIGERIA).
I think the ONLY way to revive and change this failed state is COMMUNISM. YES!! COMMUNISM subsequent to a #REVOLUTION orchestrated by the proletariate against the bourgeoisie. What do you feel?
Music journalism has been my job for over 12 years and I believe everyone reading this knows that. My only regret is not putting my article in the right platform over the years, something I won’t forgive myself for and I get sad everyday for not having enough audience.
Someone said “music journalism is simply finding a thousand ways of saying good and also catchy”. Another said it was “finding thousand ways to insult an album or just rolling stone”.
Maybe the latter is me and maybe not because I engage every aspect of what this journalism can be. I mean, I diversify a lot.
