A joint delegation of SAD and BJP today urged Pb Guv @vpsbadnore to dismiss @capt_amarinder led #Congress govt and recommend an inquiry by a sitting judge of the HC or the CBI into the #HoochTragedy besides an ED probe to recover the ill gotten wealth acquired by Cong leaders.1/7
Properties of all those involved in the illicit liquor trade be confiscated, smuggling of denatured spirit & ENA from distilleries be stopped, murder cases be registered against all those named by the victim families particularly Khadoor Sahib MLA @RSinghsikki. 2/7
This #HoochTragedy that claimed 118 lives is the result of State patronage as people across Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Gurdaspur have been affected by the same lot of contaminated liquor, distributed with the nexus between Congress leaders and MLAs, police and excise officials. 3/7
One of the victims is being threatened as she recorded complaint against KhadoorSahib MLA. She has been denied compensation for the death of 2 family members. @sunilkjakhar & @RahulGandhi are mum as the share from this illicit trade goes right up to @INCIndia high command. 4/7
Punjab CM @capt_amarinder has failed to perform his duty as the Excise and Home minister. He took no action against Cong MLAs Madan Lal Jalalpur and Hardyal Singh Kamboj despite the fact that they patronized the culprits running two illegal distilleries at Rajpura and Khanna. 5/7
We also demand action against two distilleries run by MLA Rana Gurjit Singh and the family of CM's Religious Advisor @ParamjitSSarna who are being accused of indulging in liquor smuggling and release of ENA and denatured spirit into the market illegally. 6/7 #PunjabHoochTragedy
The illicit liquor trade has already caused a loss of Rs 5,600 cr to State treasury. Night curfew during the extended lockdown in Punjab was also used to transport illicit liquor freely. The former CS had also accused ministers of causing a massive loss to the treasury. 7/7

Punjabis are pained to see how our CM @BhagwantMann's actions have been lowering prestige of the state. #Lufthansa has never said that
Mann wasn't drunk & that deplaning incident didn't take place. In fact the airline has refused to disclose the incident citing privacy laws.1/4
I talked to 2 passengers who were on the same flight to verify the incident. One of them, an industrialist, was in the 1st class & the other, a hotelier from Rajasthan, was in business class. Both told me that Mann had fallen down on the first seat after entering the aircraft.2/4
The air hostess informed Mann about his actual seat and he then proceeded to that swaying from one side to another. The air hostess then informed the flight Captain about the situation and it was the Captain who came to the spot and took the decision to deboard Bhagwant. 3/4
Strongly opposed the 3 agriculture-related Bills in #LokSabha, as they will sound death knell for 20 lakh farmers, 3 lakh ‘mandi’ labourers, 30 lakh khet mazdoor & 30,000 ‘arhatiyas’ besides destroying food grain procurement system established over 50 years.
SAD was not involved in the consultative process & the party’s representative @HarsimratBadal_ had asked for #ordinances to be delayed till a broad consensus was achieved after talks with farmers. We conveyed this to Union Agri Minister too.
Cong has badly let down farmers of the nation's grain basket which fulfilled 80% food grain requirement in 1980 & supplies 50 % food grains even today. Punjab also sacrificed its water resources & produced rice even during drought.
As a party of the farmers, @Akali_Dal_ cannot support anything which goes against the interest of the ‘annadata’ in the country, especially in #Punjab. So, we opposed the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill 2020 in #LokSabha today. 1/4
.@Akali_Dal_ has always championed the cause of the #farmers and has made supreme sacrifices to safeguard their interests. That legacy can’t and will not be compromised or diluted, no matter what price we have to pay. 2/4
The govt has erred grievously in not taking stake holders–farmers & their organisations – on board. @Akali_Dal_ representative in Cabinet @HarsimratBadal_ had raised objections and had requested that the Ordinances be put off. But that not happened. 3/4
Shiromani Akali Dal asks the Govt of India not to present the three central agricultural #ordinances for approval in #parliament until all reservations expressed by ‘Kisan’ organizations as well as farmers & 'khet mazdoors' are duly addressed. #CoreCommitteeDecision
After meeting various farmer & Khet Mazdoor orgs from Punjab as well as adjoining states & also taking view of party workers/leaders, SAD feels that it’s its responsibility to get their reservations addressed & the party is committed to take up all issues raised by them with GOI.
As the party’s core committee has decided today, I will lead a delegation to discuss the concerns of the farmers with the central govt. We will hold meetings with the Union govt as well as other like-minded parties to address the apprehensions of farmers in the coming days.
Shiromani Akali Dal will strongly take up the issue of restoration of Punjabi as an official language in J&K with PM Sh. @narendramodi & Home Minister Sh. @AmitShah besides raising the issue in parliament.
We'll seek a change in the draft legislation seeking to make Urdu, Kashmiri, Dogri, Hindi & English official languages of J&K by seeking inclusion of #Punjabi language in this list.
There is a widespread resentment amongst Sikhs and Punjabis worldwide at the discriminatory manner in which Punjabi has been excluded as an official language of J&K by its administration.
We have now made public the probe report by SC welfare principal secy which clearly pins SC welfare minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot. If even now, CM doesn’t sack & arrest Dharamsot, it will be taken that the entire Cong party is a ‘bhagidar’ in this crime against #Dalit students.
The probe reveals that #Dharamsot engineered the Rs 63 CR scam & the officer also gave evidence that the minister took away powers of the dept director to disburse payment by passing an order & began releasing payments on his signatures in a selective manner.
Dharamsot also misled the Treasury as the Director’s stamp was affixed on payment requests along with signatures of a deputy director who is hand-in-glove with the minister. He also gave illegal relief to some colleges by ordering a new audit.
