Since Twitter imposed some restrictions on well-known QAnon phrases and hashtags appearing in trends, the conspiracy's followers have started using new ones to circumvent the ban. #SavetheChildren is one of them, which has been tweeted over 200,000 times since Friday
Although they have been careful not to make this look like a QAnon hashtag campaign, look closely at some of the most used phrases that have appeared in #SavetheChildren tweets and... HELLO! Here's @ThinQingAnon telling followers how to get the hashtag trending
It's so bad that @SavetheChildren, an organisation that ACTUALLY tries to help children worldwide, has had to issue a statement distancing itself from this hashtag. This is why QAnon is harmful, it trivialises an extremely serious issue that real good people are trying to address
The absolute state of these replies to the perfectly sensible tweet by @SavetheChildren 🤦‍♂️ Whose word should I take on helping vulnerable children? A well-known organisation that's been doing it for over a 100 years or some random folk who believe JFK Jr is alive?
#SavetheChildren is also doing well on Facebook. Here are a few examples of totally insane posts from QAnon-themed groups with the hashtag which have got thousands of shares and are still up
