2 MM Sundaresh and Hemalatha. The bench admitted the WP and asked HR & CE to file its counter in 3 weeks. The WP is for disclosing to the public the following information about the trustees: (a) Trustee is a Hindu and he is professing Hindu Religion
3 (b) Whether he is from the local area where the temple is situated? (c) What is his present business or profession and his income for the past three years? (d) Will he be able to sustain his family from his own income without expecting any money or relying on any resources of
4 the temple? (e) Whether he has good working knowledge of the local tradition peculiar to the temple? (f) Whether he is conversant with the culture and heritage of the temple; (g) Whether he enjoys good reputation among the local public; (h) Whether he is able to allocate
5 sufficient time and resources to administer the affairs of the temple; (i) List of his contributions in the past three years to the renovation / repair of the Hindu temples; (j) He did not encroach any temple lands or indulge in any activity affecting the interests of the
6 temples; (k) He is able to discharge his duties without any influence from any political party or any vested interests; HR & CE is asked to disclose the above information by publication in the local newspaper, affixing on the main entrance gate of each temple,
7 on the notice board of the Executive Officer of each temple under the control of HR & CE Department and also make available a copy of the said information for inspection & further copying at the office of the jurisdictional Assistant Commissioner
